Edinburgh University Scholarship: Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarships

The first Edinburgh University scholarship we'll talk about is the Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarship, which is a competitive scholarship for outstanding Mathematics students. Moreover, this merit-based scholarship, which is offered by the School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh, can be applied for through the University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) portal. 

To be eligible for the Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarships, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a citizen of a country outside of the UK and Ireland 
  • Possess an offer for full-time admission to an undergraduate degree program offered by the School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh
  • Not available to students that are already in the program

What the Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarships cover:

  • £5,000 per year (renewable for the duration of the study if satisfactory academic performance is met)

Robertson International Scholarships

Another Edinburgh University scholarship is the Robertson International Scholarships, a merit-based scholarship offered by the School of History, Classics, and Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh. This scholarship, which is for up to 5 students who plan to enroll in an undergraduate program within the School of History, Classics, and Archaeology, can also be applied for through the University and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS) portal. 

To be eligible for the Robertson International Scholarships, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a national of a country outside the UK 
  • Liable for the international tuition rate
  • Not available to students that are already in the program

What the Robertson International Scholarships cover:

  • £1,000 (tenable for one year)

Edinburgh University scholarship: Chevening Scholarships

You can also study at the University of Edinburgh through the Chevening scholarship. Moreover, it is a full master's degree scholarship by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and partner organizations. Furthermore, this scholarship is famous as the UK government's international scholarship program, which is a grant for scholars who exhibit leadership skills. 

To be eligible for the Chevening Scholarships, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory
  • Return to your country of origin for at least two years after receiving the award
  • Completion of your undergraduate program to apply for the postgraduate program in the UK university
  • Two years or more of work experience
  • Application to three different eligible UK university courses, with one of your selections having unconditionally accepted your application

What the Chevening Scholarships cover:

  • Tuition fees
  • A monthly stipend
  • Costs of travel to and from the UK
  • An arrival allowance
  • A homeward departure allowance
  • Visa application 
  • A travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK

Scholarships for international students can be a great way to cut the cost of your education.
