Studying abroad requires you to have a hefty amount of finance. In some cases, some people are bright enough to get into a top university, and their only problem lies in their financial availability. For those of you who want to apply to University of Sydney Scholarships, here is the list for you!

Australian Awards Scholarship

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is in charge of administering the Australia Awards, which are long-term awards. Moreover, according to bilateral and regional agreements, they seek to support the development requirements of Australia's alliance partners. People from developing nations, especially those in the Indo-Pacific area, are given the chance to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate programs at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutes.

Benefits

Australia Awards Scholarships are available for the minimum period for the individual to complete the academic program specified by the Australian higher education institution, including any preparatory training. The following benefits generally apply:

  • Full tuition fees
  • Return air travel
  • Establishment allowance
  • Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE)
  • Introductory Academic Program (IAP)
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of the award (for award holder only)
  • Pre-course English (PCE) fees
  • Supplementary academic support may be available to ensure a scholar's academic success or enhance their academic experience
  • Fieldwork (for research awards and Masters by coursework which have a research component where fieldwork is compulsory) may be available for eligible research students for one return economy class airfare via the most direct route to their country of citizenship or within Australia.

Sydney Scholars Awards

Outstanding Year 12 students may receive a $6,000 AUD scholarship to help them pursue an undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney. 

Benefits

The Sydney Scholars Award has the value of $6,000 AUD and is tenable for one year of an undergraduate degree.

Eligibility

  • Be a domestic student or an onshore international student who is due to complete or recently completed an Australian Year 12 qualification such as the HSC or an equivalent qualification such as the International Baccalaureate
  • Be applying for admission through UAC
  • Have achieved an ATAR of 95 to 99.85 or equivalent
  • Apply in the year that you complete your secondary education (if you are offered a Sydney Scholars Award, you may defer it for up to two years).

Sydney International Student Award (Indonesia)

A brilliant and diverse foreign student community is recognized with the Sydney International Student Award. Moreover, this scholarship aims to help motivated applicants realize their academic and personal goals by funding their enrolment at the University of Sydney. Furthermore, recipients will receive a university contribution of 20% of their tuition for the duration of their course.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you must:

  • Be an international student
  • Be an Indonesian citizen (dual Australian and New Zealand citizens are not eligible)
  • Receive admission into a full-time undergraduate coursework, postgraduate coursework, or postgraduate research degree, commencing in 2023.*
  • Not be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia
  • Not have already started a degree at the University of Sydney at the time that you apply for the award. However, you are eligible if you are completing a degree here and are applying for the award with a second degree. 

*This award is not available for the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive MBA (EMBA), study abroad, executive education programs, or courses is available in distance mode or to students participating in a Law Dual Degree pathway program.
