What do the HKU Foundation Scholarships for International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Students cover?
- Students who achieve 45 in their IB Diploma - are eligible for a full-tuition scholarship
- Students who achieve 44 in their IB Diploma - are eligible for a half-tuition scholarship
For the HKU Foundation Scholarships for International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Students, no application is required. Moreover, the grant will automatically consider every eligible student. Furthermore, the selection committee will shortlist and nominate eligible students on a rolling basis.
HKU Foundation Scholarships for GCE A-Level and International Advanced Level Qualified Students
The HKU Foundation Scholarships for GCE A-Level and International Advanced Level Students recognize outstanding students with GCE A-Level and International Advanced Level qualifications who will be studying in HKU's undergraduate programs.
What do the HKU Foundation Scholarships for GCE A-Level and International Advanced Level Qualified Students cover?
- Students who achieve 5A* for GCE A-Level or International A-Level qualifications - eligible for a full-tuition scholarship
- Students who achieve 4A* for GCE A-Level or International A-Level qualifications - eligible for a full-tuition scholarship
They will evaluate students who receive 4A* holistically to decide their scholarship eligibility, and successful candidates will receive scholarship details in their application portal.
For the HKU Foundation Scholarships for International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Students, no application is required. Moreover, the grant will automatically consider every eligible student. Furthermore, the selection committee will shortlist and nominate eligible students on a rolling basis.
You should take the A-Level subjects should in one academic year (September to August). Moreover, this does not include language subjects.
University of Hong Kong Scholarship: HKU Belt and Road Scholarship
This one of the University of Hong Kong Scholarships supported by the Hong Kong government, the HKU Belt and Road Scholarship offers scholarships for successful applicants from participating Belt and Road countries, which include Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar, among others.
To be eligible for the HKU Belt and Road Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a national of at least one of the participating Belt and Road countries
- Demonstrate contributions to a national institution, community, or society
- Exhibit good leadership and communication skills
- Possess a strong interest in and commitment to the development of Hong Kong.
What does the HKU Belt and Road Scholarship cover?
- Up to full tuition fees
To apply for the HKU Belt and Road Scholarship, you must submit several supporting documents, including:
- A one-page write-up on why you should be the one who gets the scholarship and your plans after graduation
- Latest CV
- A short paragraph about you related to each of the 4 areas (4 short paragraphs in total): academic achievements, contribution to institution/ society, leadership and communication abilities, and interest in integrating into and contributing to the Hong Kong society.
You can submit your application for the HKU Belt and Road Scholarship via the HKU online application system.
