Princeton University Acceptance  Rate

All Ivy League schools have an incredibly low acceptance rate compared to other schools, and Princeton is no exception. As such, it comes as no surprise that the acceptance rate for Princeton University is very low.

Princeton has decided to withhold its most recent admissions statistics. This includes information on the school's early and regular round admittance rates, the overall number of applicants, the demographics of admitted students, as well as its  SAT and GPA data. However, based on past data, it is estimated that the acceptance rate at Princeton university would be between 3% and 4%.

Over the past five years, Princeton has been getting increasingly competitive, with the acceptance rate dropping by over 30% in five years. Moreover, in the 2021 admissions cycle, there were 37,601 applications submitted for a place at Princeton. Furthermore, only 1,498 students received their acceptance letters. Also, this brought the acceptance rate down to 3.98%, which stands as the lowest in the school's history.

Princeton's World-Class Education

Primarily a liberal arts college focused on research, Princeton offers students the option to enroll in either the Bachelor of Arts (B.A) program or the Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E) program.

While the B.S.E degree only includes six programs, there are 33 programs available in the B.A  degree. In each graduating class, around 25% of students pursue the B.S.E. program, while others choose to follow the B.A. degree program.
