The University of California, Los Angeles is a public research university in Los Angeles, California. UCLA's academic roots started back in 1882, when it was originally founded as the southern branch of the California State Normal School. Moreover, UCLA is one of nine public undergraduate campuses across the state, from the Bay Area down to San Diego.

With a total enrollment of 31,543 undergraduate students, UCLA offers 125 undergraduate majors spread across 109 academic departments and over 90 minors. Therefore, you can say that the university is one of the favorite destinations for students.

Here are some of the most popular undergraduate majors in UCLA:

Biology 

UCLA's Biology program is part of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB). Furthermore, this program aims for students who would like to obtain a broad knowledge of science as well as for students preparing for careers in the health sciences, biotechnology, or other adjacent fields. 

Through the Biology program, students will get a comprehensive background in the biology of whole organisms, the environment, population, evolution, and behavior.
