Admissions Into UPenn

Before applying to the University of Pennsylvania master's program, you will need to hold a bachelor's degree from a college/university accredited by a state or national accrediting body. In your application, there are several things you must submit:

  • Valid Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores (some programs may require LSAT, MCAT, and GMAT scores)
  • Pearson's PTE Academic/TOEFL/IELTS scores (taken within two years of the application)
  • Letters of recommendation (some programs may require two or three)
  • Personal statement 
  • Academic transcripts 
  • Resume or CV

As for the personal statement, it is recommended to write no more than two pages with a readable font/size. Below are several questions to ask yourself when writing your personal statement:

  • Why am I interested in this program?
  • What have I done that makes me a great candidate?
  • How will I benefit from the program?
  • Why will I succeed in the program?
  • What will I do/accomplish once I have completed the program?
